Bota is cool, calm and relaxed… until it’s time to retrieve a ball, catch a Frisbee or search for antlers, then it’s “Game On.” As a puppy he was chubby and had big feet before he grew into his muscular frame.
Bota is very smart and learns quickly. He started puppy class at 4 months of age and was off leash trained by the second week of class. He outperformed all of the other, older dogs in class. The trainer urged us to take the second level class. On the first day of second level class the trainer put him through his paces and stated, “He already knows all this. He needs to be tested for his Canine Good Citizen certificate.” He passed it at 6 months of age.
He then became a classroom therapy dog at Capital High School. He helped all students, including students with special needs, and lowered teachers stress levels.
Bota’s bloodline consists of both service dogs and hunting. He is a great companion in the woods and loves being around people.
